In the first 15 minutes of trading today, AMC pushed above the $50 mark for the first time in over 2 months. The last time it was above this significant $50 price level was July 2nd 2021.

A few minutes later, it cracked $51.

AMC Cracks $50 but can it hold?

Whether or not AMC can hold the $50 mark at close remains to be seen. Remember, we saw a HUGE volume of short borrowed shares earlier in the week, and although around a third of this number was returned over the last day or two, it’s likely that the Hedgies have some ammo left in reserve. At the time of writing, the Short Interest was hovering around 18.3% according to Ortex.
